Transfers to Merzouga: good to know
Transfers to Merzouga with Achabou Luxury Camp: a small luxury desert camp with only six private tents at the foot of Erg Chebbi, the largest sand dunes of Morocco – 400 metres from the great dune and 1 km from Merzouga. Every tent has air conditioning, heating and its own bathroom with hot shower.
Why choose Achabou for transfers to Merzouga? Our local family team organises everything for you, our guests have dinner, breakfast and a camel ride included, and there is no deposit: you pay at the camp or on the day. Send us a message on WhatsApp or by email and we reply quickly.
Planning transfers to Merzouga? Please arrive at the camp between 16:00 and 16:30 if you stay with us, so you have time to settle in before the sunset. Children are welcome – tell us their ages when you write to us.
Achabou Luxury Camp is easy to reach: you can drive your own car to the camp (about 800 m from the paved road) or book a private transfer from Errachidia, Fez or Ouarzazate. A camel ride at sunset or sunrise, dinner by the fire and the silence of the Sahara make every stay special.
With only six tents, the camp is always calm. Transfers to Merzouga is one of the experiences our guests remember most from their trip to the Sahara, together with the stars over the dunes and a Moroccan breakfast with the first light on the sand.
Our tents: the double tent costs €100 per night for two people (€50 per person), the triple tent €150 and the family tent €200 for four. For groups of 5 to 7 people we have a large group tent – ask us for the price. Every tent has air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with hot shower and real beds, and the price always includes dinner, breakfast and a camel ride.
From the camp you can also book a 2-hour 4×4 tour to the nomads, Mifis and Khamlia, quad biking or a buggy in the dunes, sandboarding, henna with a woman from the village, a bike tour, a cooking class in Khamlia, Gnawa music or a day trip to Rissani and Erfoud. Everything starts at the camp and you pay on the day.
