Stars over the Sahara
Merzouga, Morocco · with Achabou Luxury Camp
Far from city lights, the sky over the dunes is full of stars.
About this activity
Merzouga has one of the darkest skies in Morocco. After dinner, sit by the fire or walk a few metres into the sand and look up: the Milky Way, planets and shooting stars are easy to see on a clear night.
The best nights are when there is no moon. Bring a warm jacket in winter – the desert gets cold after sunset (your tent has heating).
